Transformer-specific oil

Transformer oil is an insulating and cooling medium formulated from deeply refined naphthenic mineral base oils, blended with carefully selected antioxidant additives. It appears as a clear, transparent liquid. Primarily used in oil-immersed power transformers and other electrical equipment, it provides five essential functions—insulation, cooling, arc quenching, corrosion protection, and fault monitoring—making it a critical medium for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of power systems.

Features

Insulation and arc-extinguishing advantages: High breakdown voltage, low dielectric loss, and high resistivity; isolates the winding from the core, preventing short circuits and partial discharges; fills voids in equipment, eliminates air bubbles, rapidly suppresses electric arcs, and protects switch contacts.
Heat dissipation, temperature control, and stability: Low viscosity and excellent fluidity ensure efficient convective heat dissipation, maintaining stable equipment temperatures; it boasts an outstanding low‑temperature pour point, remaining flowable even in extremely cold conditions, providing smooth cooling throughout all seasons.
Long antioxidant lifespan: Deeply refined and formulated with antioxidant additives, it exhibits excellent thermal stability and oxidation stability, resisting aging and carbon deposit formation over long-term use, with a slow increase in acid value, thereby extending the service life of both the lubricant and the equipment.
Environmentally friendly, compatible, and safe: Low aromatic, low sulfur, benzene-free and free of heavy metals, compliant with environmental standards; exhibits excellent compatibility with copper, iron, aluminum, and other materials, is non-corrosive, can detect potential issues via oil chromatography, and provides corrosion protection.

Application

Power transformers: 10 kV–1000 kV oil-immersed power transformers, converter transformers, and distribution transformers—insulation and cooling.

High-voltage electrical equipment: insulation, arc extinction, and contact protection for current transformers, oil-filled bushings, oil circuit breakers, and tap changers.

Specialized power‑system applications: Environmental protection against high temperature, high humidity, and high salt‑fog conditions for photovoltaic transformers, traction transformers, electric‑furnace transformers, and rectifier transformers.

Equipment Preservation and Rust Prevention: Long-term preservation of idle transformers, high-voltage motors, and generator sets to protect internal cavities and windings, isolating them from moisture, salt, and oxygen.
